The latest acts of violence have deepened fear for residents in Elsies River following reports of a woman being killed in crossfire at the corner of Epping Avenue and Norwood Road on Tuesday afternoon. She was declared deceased at the scene.

Police say an unidentified gunman opened fire on a group of people walking in the street, injuring four individuals — two men, a woman and a 15-year-old boy. All four victims were then transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Community safety leaders say residents are exhausted and traumatised by the ongoing violence.
Locals are now calling for increased police visibility, faster intervention and stronger coordination between law enforcement and neighbourhood safety structures to address crime in the area.
