Cosatu slams Manuel

Cosatu has slammed the Head of the Planning Commission in the Presidency Trevor Manuel for saying that labour unions are too powerful and that big business did not stand up to them.

According to reports Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini says Manuel should not use what he calls glittery platforms to attack the union and should refrain from acting as a shop steward for big business.

Earlier, Manuel’s comments were also rejected by the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry as unwarranted
