More goals on day two of Confederations Cup

More goals were scored in the Confederations Cup tournament last night when Brazil beat Egypt 4-3 in what can only be described as a controversial victory in Bloemfontein last night.

Egypt had the crowd breathless as they drew 3-3 with the Brazilians, but then came the decision by the referee that changed matters.

He gave Brazil a penalty after changing his mind about whether an Egyptian cleared a header off the goal line with his hand and Brazil ran out the winners.

In Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria, Italy beat the United States by 3-1. Things could have been very different had the referee not red-carded a USA player for a very ordinary looking foul.
