Three men have been arrested for possession of illegal cigarettes and an unlicensed firearm.
They were arrested yesterday in Nyanga.
Police spokesperson Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi says police received information about a Somali shop owner who allegedly had an unlicensed firearm.
“Police were patrolling in Emms Drive, Nyanga when they received information about a Somalian Shop owner who has an illegal firearm,” Sitshitshi said.
They found a 9mm pistol, with its serial numbers filed off, ammunition and 13 cartons of illegal cigarettes.
