The Police Crime Intelligence Unit raided the public protector offices on Wednesday.
This raid follows a report that the public protector released into R500million property deal involving National Commissioner General Bheki Cele.
Police’s McIntosh Polela said “We strongly condemn the raid on the Public Protector’s office, it was not sanctioned by management of the Saps”.
General Bheki Cele office has stated that they did not authorise it.
