Loss of members to UDM doesn’t worry the ANC

The ANC says it is any person’s right to join the party of his or her choice.

The ruling party reacted to the United Democratic Movement’ welcoming of 320 former members and councillors from the ANC and the DA, ahead of next month’s local government elections.

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa welcomed the defectors in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.

Holomisa says the days are gone when people would blindly, election after election, give the ruling party a blank cheque to sign as it pleased.
