Chapman’s Peak Drive still closed

Western Cape Transport MEC Robin Carlisle says heavy rain has made tons of rock on Chapman’s Peak Drive unstable.
Stormy weather destabilised several tonnes of rock on the Noordhoek side of the scenic route.
The scenic drive will remain closed to traffic.
Carlisle added that experts were working night and day to stabilise the mountainside so as to open the road to traffic as soon as possible.
