Unisa has distanced itself from the alleged racist remarks by a lecturer.
Civil rights body AfriForum has lodged a complaint following a talk given by lecturer Boitumelo Senokoane during a philosophy seminar. In the talk, titled White Man, you are on your own,
Senokoane allegedly said black people should not trust white people, that white people's economic and political concerns did not need to be dealt with, and that white people had never committed any good deeds towards black people.
Unisa spokesperson Doreen Gough says the complaint of racism is being investigated.
