The DA wants State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele to produce national intelligence agency head Gibson Njenje's resignation letter.

Njenje denies that such a letter exists, while the ministry says it has it in its possession.

The DA’s Dirk Stubbe says if Cwele is lying, he has to resign. According to reports, Cwele also asked secret service boss Mo Shaik and the head of the state security agency Jeff Maqetuka to quit.

They have apparently refused and sought legal advice.

It is alleged that one of the reasons operators are unhappy is that Cwele apparently ordered VIP security for his wife Cheryl during her drug trafficking trail.
