South Africa will participate in a crucial meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Panama.
This convention is widely expected to set the tone for the December summit in Durban.
The Department of International Relations and Co-operation says South Africa will participate in order toe contribute to a balanced and credible outcome in Durban.
International Relations Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane is representing South Africa in Panama.
