Tshwane University of Technology's administrator Themba Mosia has confirmed that newly appointed vice chancellor Johnny Molefe will not continue serving in the post.
Mosia says Molefe failed to provide valid documents in support of his appointment.
The position requires candidates to have a doctorate. Despite being given ample time to do so, Molefe did not submit proof of his qualifications.
Molefe allegedly used a revoked evaluation certificate to apply for the post.
