MEC Dan Plato condemns police murders in WC

Western Cape MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato has condemned the murder of two police officers in Nyanga on Monday.  MEC Plato said it is unacceptable that the people who have chosen to protect the communities are being attacked and killed.

The two officers were shot dead while attending to a compliant in the area. Western Cape Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer has offered a reward of R100 000 for anyone with information about the shooting. 
Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha relayed MEC Plato’s condolences to the families and colleagues of the officers, and called for the community to assist in bringing the killers to book.

MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato unequivocally added these attacks should not go unpunished.
