A 20-year-old man has been questioned after he allegedly offered matric exam papers to friends on an internet service.
The Johannesburg Flying Squad Reservist Unit members raided a house Sunday afternoon after receiving an anonymous sms tip-off on the 32211 Primedia Crime Line sms service.
“Police received information via the crimeline and about an individual that was giving out examination papers,” says Police spokesperson, Captain Dennis Adriao.
They went to the address where they found the 20-year-old man and the man said that it was just a prank
“We seached the premises but couldn’t find any evidence but what we have done is confiscated a computer and cell phone and investigations will continue,” says Adriao.
Police are appealing to the public to break the silence and anonymously sms 32211 (at a cost of R1) or go to www.crimeline.co.za.
