Motlanthe and Dlamini Zuma head for Addis Ababan

President Kgalema Motlanthe is expected to report on the outcomes of the SADC summit to the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia scheduled for 2-3 February 2009.

Foreign Affairs spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa said one of the issues that will be discussed will be the implementation of the Zimbabwe global political agreement.

On his to Ethiopia from Davos, Motlanthe will be joined by Foreign Affairs minister Doctor Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma who is already in Addis Ababa.

Mamoepa said it is against background of the decision taken by Zimbabwean political parties to launch a joint implementation committee “as well as MDC’s decision to joint the ranks of inclusive government in Zimbabwe”
