A female pedestrian, believed to be around 40 years old, has died after being hit by a bakkie on Molteno Road, near Bird Road, in Stellenbosch earlier today.
The woman was declared dead on arrival by emergency services and appeared to have sustained multiple serious injuries.
It is believed that the woman was attempting to cross the road when the incident occurred.
