The two police reservists, who were arrested for allegedly stealing an admission of guilt register at the Strand police station at the weekend appeared in the Strand Magistrate’s Court yesterday on charges of theft and corruption.
Inspector Olebogeng Godfrey Tawana said both reservists were represented by state attorneys as they could not afford to instruct their own lawyers.
The two were granted bail of R1000 each, on condition that they don’t visit the Strand police station without consulting the investigating officer.
The case has been postponed to March for further investigation.
