President Jacob Zuma went back on the campaign trial in the Western Cape at the weekend following the scandal that broke out over his sexual involvement with five women and his 20 children.

Zuma is part of a high-ranking ANC delegation deployed to the Western Cape to rebuild its profile in the province after its defeat to the DA in last year’s elections.

ANC spokesman Brian Sokutu says Zuma and fellow members of the ANC’s national executive committee visited various regions over the weekend, including the Boland, the West Coast, Overberg and Cape Metropole.

“President Zuma is leading a high-level ANC delegation on a campaign in the province to try and win back the province from the DA.

“ANC national executive committee members has been deployed to this province to strengthen the party’s mass support”, said Brian Sokutu.
