A 42 year old Mannenberg man was shot and killed in an alleged gang related incident in the area over the weekend.
Police’s Captain Frederick Van Wyk says the deceased was on his way home in Scheldt Road on Sunday afternoon when he was attacked by an unknown suspect.
He was shot in his lower back and died on the scene.
Van Wyk says the deceased is only known as Randall Bosch from Scheldt walk, Manenberg.
“The possibility that the incident could be gang related cannot be ruled out,” said Van Wyk.
A murder case has been opened.
