As South Africa celebrates the National Youth Day, all eyes will be on Bafana Bafana who is playing Uruguay at Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld tonight.
This is Bafana’s second game for the 2010 Fifa World Cup. Perraira Boys played 1-1 draw against Mexico in the opening match of the tournament on Friday at Soccer City.
Uruguay also drew with France later the day at Cape Town Stadium.
All the teams in Group A have registered a single point, and the Boys are looking to edge into the lead.
Simphiwe Tshabalala, who scored a goal in the opening match, says the national squad will do fine if they continue with Uruguay where they left off with Mexico.
Team spokesperson Mathlomola Morake says 10 of the players on the field during the opening match against Mexico had never played in a World Cup before.
He says the key is for Bafana Bafana to calm their nerves by securing a win.
