Bafana Bafana in high spirit

Bafana Bafana are said to be in high spirits following their defeat of Denmark over the weekend, as the national squad prepares for their opening match against Mexico on Friday at Soccer City.

The national team now sit with a streak of 12 games unbeaten, with soccer fans around the country hoping this does not mean the team is due for some bad luck.

Former Bafana coach Clive Barker is also confident that the will beat Mexico.

Barker is one of the most successful former national coaches, having won the Africa Nations Cup in 1996.

He also led Bafana to their first ever World Cup in 1998 held in France.
