The Energy Department told I-Net Bridge yesterday that fuel price changes for July would only be announced on the 9th July as opposed to the usual last Friday of every month.
The Energy Minister took this decision during May in order to ensure that fuel prices were stable during the duration of the FIFA Soccer World Cup tournament, which ends in the country on the 11th July.
This means motorists will still get another few days of using the same fuel prices that prevailed during June. Petrol prices fell by 27 cents a litre (c/l) in June, while diesel and paraffin prices had fallen by 15c/l and 13c/l respectively.
Another fuel cut is on the cards for July.
