A man died after being hit by a train on Tuesday near the Tygerberg Station, in Parow.
ER24’s Tristan Wadeley said: “When paramedics arrived on the scene the fire department had already declared the man dead.
“The man estimated to be in his late thirties had suffered severe pain and probably died on impact,” he said.
The commuter train is believed to have been travelling towards Cape Town.
The police are investigating the incident.
