Matrics tomorrow will mark 100 days until the first National Senior Certificate theory examination.
There are 46 888 fulltime students registered to write the exams in three months.
The Department of Education in the Western Cape have launched a campaign called “Own your own future. Own your own success. Study hard to pass your matric”.
This campaign encompasses teaching programmes for schools which passed below the provincial average, an interactive teaching methods in subjects such as maths physical science, life science and accounting.
Matrics have also been provided with past exam papers and additional text books.
Minister of Education in the Western Cape said in an interview that “the exam starts 13 October 2010 and we encourage parents to support their children and for the learners to study hard and pass at the end of the year”.
