President Jacob Zuma has reportedly delegated Public Service Minister Richard Baloyi to intervene in the dispute between Communications Minister Siphiwe Nyanda and his fired director general Mamodupi Mohlala.
Mohlala was fired last week in what the department said was a process of trying to find solutions to the challenges as it became apparent that trust between her and Nyanda had broken down permanently.
She challenged her dismissal in the Labour Court in Johannesburg and demanded to be reinstated.
Mohlala says she is happy with Zuma's intervention.
The matter was postponed to the 26th of August 2010 as Nyanda is in China at the moment.
