SAA flight attendant jailed for seven years for drug smuggling

Elphia Dlamini 42-years-old from Cape Town has been jailed for seven years.

Dlamini a flight attendant for South African Airways has been found guilty of attempting to smuggle cocaine into the United Kingdom.

UK Border Agency officials arrested Elphia Dlamini on the 26th of June after she tried to conceal more than 220-thousand-Rands worth of the drugs in her undergarments.

She first appeared in the Uxbridge Magistrate's Court in August where she pleaded guilty for importing a Class A drug into the country.

She was sentenced on Friday in the Isleworth Crown Court.
