Fifteen police officials charged with murder for beating Nhlanhla Lala Luthuli to death have been granted bail.
The men appeared in the Hammarsdale Magistrate's Court on Friday for the October 29 murder where the men allegedly searched Luthuli's home for a stolen gun from one of the Crime Intelligence Unit members during a house robbery.
He was then beaten in front of his 11-year-old son and dumped on the side of a road.
The Independent Complaints Directorate spokesperson Moses Dlamini said the suspects were granted bail of R5 000 each.
The case has been postponed to January 14.
