Rumours are widespread that the 26-year-old Cape Town man arrested for the murder of British tourist Anni Dewani has confessed to the killing.
Dewani and her husband Shrien were abducted in Gugulethu on Saturday night, while on their honeymoon.
Reports say police are also investigating how Shrien Dewani could have escaped without a scratch despite allegedly being thrown out of the back window of the hijacked vehicle before his wife was murdered.
The 26-year –old is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court today on charges of murder and hijacking.
Police’s Frederick van Wyk said “The contents of the post mortem report will only be released once presented as evidence in a court of law and the body has been released to the family. The search for another suspect continues”.
