Tshwane Metro deputy police chief Ndumiso Jaca has been suspended from his position.
This is after it was reported that he has been driving an unregistered BMW with fake number plates.
Reports say the Metro is investigating the allegations and Jaca will be on special leave for three months.
Jaca says he was unaware that the vehicle was unregistered as he had hired an agent to do the paperwork for him.
