Concern has been expressed around the poor performance in mathematics during the matriculation exams says Umalusi.
The results will be announced next week, but education spokeperson Sizwe Madizela says the council for quality assurance is satisfied by the results in general.
It is said that the results is valid, fair and credible.
For the 2011 matric exams, 620 000 had written. The final results will officially be announced next week.
