The ANC youth League branches from several provinces including Limpopo and the Western Cape criticised the expulsion of Julius Malema.
Malema was expelled from the party on Wednesday after being found guilty of sowing division and bringing the party into disrepute.
He was given 14 days to appeal.
The youth league in Limpopo says that its own internal processes should determine whether Malema stays or goes.
