The price of petrol will go beyond 11-Rands for the first time from next week Wednesday .
The petrol price is expected to go up by 28-cents a litre.
The price of diesel will also go up by ten-cents a litre. The department of Energy says the increase is due to a rising global prices.
They added that South Africa’s strong currency has helped limit the increase which could have been much worse.
