A 28-year-old skateboarder has died in Franschoek after colliding with a truck on the R45 yesterday.
The man sustained serious injuries to his head, abdomen and chest.
ER24’s Andre Visser said the man was skateboarding downhill at the time of the incident.
He added that upon entering the corner the man collided with a truck coming up the hill at a speed.
Visser said when ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene; they discovered the man had sustained serious injuries.
