A truck driver was arrested yesterday in Wynburg in Johannesburg and is facing reckless and negligent driving after he knocked over a female Metro Police officer.
The officer was hit by the truck while she was busy issuing another motorist with a fine.
Metro Police’s Wayne Minnaar said the truck driver is due to appear in court on Monday.
He added that the officer is in a serious but stable condition in the Sunninghill Hospital.
