Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa says reports that he had used some money of the state to build a wall at his home are being looked into.
He said the Auditor General was looking into the matter and refused to elaborate further while the investigation was in progress.
A newspaper had accused the minister of lying about the matter.
Copies of Secret service claim forms were published by the newspaper.
