The Johannesburg Water Department says two areas of Diepsloot had safe drinking water on Wednesday.

The department assures the community that more areas are expected to get their supply back before Friday, as water quality met the standards.

On Tuesday people in extensions two and three in Diepsloot West were advised not to drink their tap water.

The water utility could not say when the whole area’s water would be safe to use.
