Saturday evening saw shacks being destroyed by fires leaving 32 people homeless.
In the first incident in Nyanga eight shacks and one informal dwelling burnt to the ground leaving 21 people displaced.
In Delft two shacks was destroyed by a fire leaving nine people displaced.
In Khayelitsha five people were left homeless when a fire burnt down two shacks.
In Durbanville one shack burnt down.
In Bonteheuwel in the early hours of Sunday morning, three people were left homeless after a back yard dwelling burnt down.
Disaster Risk Management’s Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said that no injuries occurred as a result of the fires.
He added that the victims will be assisted with food parcels, clothing, blankets and building material.
