Authorities in Nigeria have found improvised bombs at two primary schools in the northern city of Kano.

The discovery of bombs comes hours after the schools were attacked with bombs and gunfire.

No children were hurt in the attack that happened overnight. Police suspect the Islamist militant group Boko Haram, who have become the most serious security threat in Nigeria in the past year.

The militant group have burnt down more than ten schools in the country since March this year.
