Solidarity files court papers against Correctional Services

Trade union Solidarity has filed papers on Correctional Services at the
Labour Court
in Cape Town today.


The lawsuit on behalf of five of its members has been brought against the department’s affirmative action plan in the Western Cape.

Solidarity’s deputy general secretary Dirk Hermann says the policy of absolute representation is unfair and irrational.


He further said the national demographic must be implemented everywhere in South Africa including the Western Cape.
