The Democratic Alliance has slammed National Union of Mineworker’s Irvin Jim.
The DA’s James Lorimer says Irvin Jim has chosen to ignore the debate on the impact of nationalisation proposals on mining jobs.
Lorimer said Cosatu is one of the biggest obstacles to job creation and job attention in South Africa.
He added that rather than engaging in the debate, all Jim has done is play the race card in his response to him this week.
Lorimer said it’s an extremely strong response from him.
Lorimer added that he has to ask why Jim hasn’t responded to the issue yet.
