Chairperson of the Steering Committee for Youth Parliament Mduduzi Manana outlined the intention of the 2012 youth parliament in relation to the mandate of parliament and the intended outcome of the programme.
He said this year education and learning will be the theme to address unemployment, poverty and inequality.

Manana said Parliament has commemorated youth month and a variety of days since democracy in South Africa.
