Acting police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwa-nazi says he is ready for any investigation that may arise into allegations that he looted the crime intelligence fund.

Addressing the media in Pretoria, Mkhwa-nazi said there was an ongoing plot to discredit the management of the police.

He says he does not know why these incorrect reports are being published.

It is also alleged that Mkhwanazi allowed the use of 35-million rands from the Secret Service Account for the purchase of cars for other police units.

Mkhwa-nazi said a total of 149 vehicles in the region of 35-million rands were bought in the last quarter of the financial year 2011/12 for distribution in all nine provinces.
