Robbin Carlisle examines amendment Act

The MEC for Transport and Public Works Robbin Carlisle is examining the amendments that have been proposed to regulate the National Road Traffic Act of 1996.

Spokesperson in the Ministry Hector Elliot says there are a number of matters addressed in the act that have been of a concern.

Hector Elliot says the introduction of Rica-style and proof of address for everyone registered on the Enatis system is interesting.

He also said the introduction of periodic roadworthy tests for private cars older than ten years.

Elliot added that the vial link in the chain of road safety is the regulation, that covers driving schools.
