Today an automated teller machine was blown up at a shopping centre in Paarl, Cape Town.
Captain Frederick van Wyk said six people loaded the machine with explosives around 4am and destroyed it.
It was not known whether the six suspects managed to flee with any money.
No casualties were reported and no arrests were made.
