Today the Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the presidency paid a visit to various facilities that render services to the public of Cape Town.

One of the offices the unit paid a visit to was the Old Fezeka Municipality in Gugulethu.

The citizens there urged them to make a turn at the Gugulethu KTC clinic which is a 24 hour government facility.

Upon their arrival at the clinic a young man was being turned away for the third time.

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation Obed Bapela said elderly people have to stand in long lines with no assurance of receiving assistance from the nurses.

He further said the nurses yell at the patients and place everything to a halt when they are on tea break ,Bapela says it broke his heart to see fellow citizens being ill treated by those who are supposed to help them.

The Minister also went to a school that is earmarked for closure.

Minister Bapela assured the citizens that  the situation will improve.
