Metro Police in Cape Town are planning to introduce a system to reunite lost children with their parents.
This is a bid to decrease the number of children who get lost at Cape Town beaches and swimming pools.
Social Development Mayoral Committee Member Suzette Little said that this will be a joint venture between Metro Police and Social Development .
Metro Police’s James Kitchen said this project is being explored to ensure the safety of children during the festive season.
“The bracelet will be issued to children who come to the beaches, it will contain the details of the parents or guardians accompanying them”, Kitchen added.
