Consul General of the US host breakfast briefing on elections

Today the Consul General of the United States of America Erica Barks-Ruggles hosted a breakfast reception to view the US election results.

Addressing delegates at the breakfast Erica Barks-Ruggles said Americans that live in foreign states have been registering and voting for a month so that they can get their ballots in on time.

Ruggles added that this was the most expensive campaign by both participants of an estimated R22.4billion that was spent.

33 senators and 435 house of representative will also be voted in today.

President Barack Obama received 306 votes and Mitt Romney recieved 212 votes.President Obama has now become the 44th President of the United States.
