During a shootout with police in
KwaMashu hotel two suspects were shot and arrested.
After receiving a tip-off the officers sourced
out information on the whereabouts of a Kia vehicle in KwaMashu Men’s Hostel
which was hijacked from its owner on Friday.
The officers immediately proceeded
to the hostel where they noticed the vehicle parked with two male occupants.
The two men have been charged for hijacking,
attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearm.
Captain Thulani Zwane said it
alleged that the suspects opened fire towards the Police and the members
retaliated wounding the suspects.
Zwane added that the suspects were
and taken to a hospital for treatment.
