Scrap yard Dealer murdered in Belhar

The Western Cape Police today said a 33-year-old scrap dealer from Belhar was shot dead on Wednesday night. 

Police spokesperson Tembinkosi Kinana said while the man was lying critically the perpetrators robbed him of his firearm, the victim died of a gunshot wound to his head before help could arrive. 

No arrests have been made. 

Kinana said the victim is alleged to have been attacked when he was visiting his girlfriend in the area.

The police urged anyway with information to contact the investigative officer Detective Constable Andrew Peter of Delft police station on 021 954 9000.
