Paramedics this morning responded to a serious accident in Lansdowne.
It is believed that a police officer was pulling vehicles off the road, when one of the vehicles knocked him down.
ER24’s Vanessa Jackson said he was critical when he was rushed to hospital and the police are investigating the exact details of the accidents.
In another accident on the M4 south bound before Umhlanga, Durban
The exact details to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Netcare 911’s Santi Steinmann said when paramedics arrived at scene they found that minibus had collided with another vehicle.
Steinmann further said three people sustained serious injuries while the other 14 passengers had minor injured.
All the injured were transported to nearby hospitals.
