ACDP concerned about police vehicles gathering dust at repair workshops

The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape on Wednesday said it is unacceptable that police vehicles are in repair workshops gathering dust when they need to be out on roads patrolling the streets and keeping communities safe.

It was reported that the police vehicles have been in workshops since April and all because police have not paid vehicle repair bills to the owners of the workshops.

ACDP Provincial Leader Ferlon Christians said surely there should be someone who should be held responsible for this mess of not paying the bills.

“We need the vans out on the street and parked in workshops so we want the culprits to be brought to book and we need those vans out on the street” Christians added.

MEC of Community Safety Dan Plato has launched an investigation into the matter.
